PELLEMEIER, Arnold J.— 78,
of Loveland, CO., died Sept. 1, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Patricia A.
Pellemeier of Loveland; three sons, Keith Pellemeier and wife Sheree of San
Luis Obispo, Greg Pellemeier and wife Deborah of Scotts Valley, and Brett
Pellemeier of San Jose; three daughters, Cynthia Tostado and husband John of
San Jose, Doris Mathieu and husband Michael of Bellvue, CO., and Mary Ann
Howard of Annapolis, Md.; a sister, Doris Lahr of DeWittville, NY; 10
grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He had various occupations throughout his life. He was a newspaper writer in New Jersey, disc jockey in the late 1940s in Kentucky, worked for NACA (now NASA) in California and was a firefighter in San Jose.
For more than 30 years he
was an industrial engineer at IBM in San Jose, retiring in April 1988. He was
an Eagle Scout, enjoyed swimming, diving, camping, golf, tennis, SCUBA diving
and traveling. He enjoyed writing poetry, acting in community plays,
volunteering in Little League Baseball and flying light airplanes.
